The InWorldz Fashion Fair, which will be taking place August 18-22, 2012, will include designers of clothing, hair, jewelry, shoes, skins and shapes. The event will be raising funds for St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Constanza Amsterdam and Nevar Lobo are the coordinators in charge of organizing the fashion fair, Eros Deus is the entertainment coordinator and
Allure Modeling Agency will be presenting fashion shows.
The IW Founders have agreed to donate the 4 event sims to be used for the fair. Cataplexia Numbers, Mike Chase and Tiana Genesis will each be in charge of decorating and designing one sim apiece, and there will be a secret builder designing and building the fourth. The other builders know who the secret
builder is, but they are under a nondisclosure agreement. The secret won't be revealed until the fair begins.
There will be slots for 40 designers, and all the designer slots are now filled. There will be fashion shows held during the fair, and Constanza tells me that the number of fashion shows will be dependent upon how many designs are donated by the designers. There will be 20 shops/booths each on two of the event sims, with one sim for fashion shows and the last for entertainment.
In addition to all of the entertainment, shopping opportunities and fashion shows, there will also be a hunt and drawings for prizes. This should prove to be an exciting event, similar to the Dance Contest recently sponsored by InWorldz.
This event was originally going to be presented under the auspices of the Relay for Life charity fundraiser, but there were some disagreements amongst the organizers. Constanza decided that the Fashion Fair was a worthy event to continue to organize, and broke the Fashion Fair into a stand-alone event. After discussion on the InWorldz Forum, the decision has been made to donate the proceeds raised during the Fashion Fair to St. Jude's children's Hospital. Constanza has been the driving force behind insuring that all the proper RL connections to St. Jude's have been made.
